Villanova University Chooses TDI for CDROM and Web Video Production

Villanova University's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering partnered with TDI Productions in the Spring of 2003 to produce a CDROM / Web Video production. The video segments detail an ongoing series of projects in which the University, government and local businesses join to promote a variety of stormwater related improvements.

Under the auspices of the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership, these organizations are exploring ways to improve the way we handle rainwater, runoff and the various water complications arising from urban development. Dr. Robert Traver hoststhe segments which were filmed in DVCAM format.

TDI Productions not only obtained original footage but also incorporated schematics and photographs supplied by the VUSP. TDI Productions also developed the new VUSP logo which will be used as the print and web symbol of the Partenrship. This logo also appears in the video as a 3D animation.

The CDROM version contains all the video segments and features a full-function autoplay menu which navigates viewers through the video segments and also allows them to access the VUSP web site with the click of a button.  The CDROM is compatible with all Microsoft Windows computers.

In October 2003 the CDROM was customized for the Pennsylvania Stormwater Management Symposium.  All of the papers submitted for the symposium were included on the CDROM in PDF format and are navigated via and index on the main menu.  This allowed VUSP to distribute the important information presented at the symposium and make the video segments of their own Best Management Practices available to all who attended.

The video segments were produced to be viewed separately and future projects will be integrated into the production as they are completed.
